Hollywood Costume

A few weeks ago I attended the Hollywood Costume exhibition at the V&A with my mum and it was one of the best things that I have ever seen that it made me want to look into costume design! The V&A is one of my favourite museums and they have AMAZING exhibitions on and I would deffinatly reccommend going! Sadly the exhibition is now closed and I was very lucky to catch it as I went on the last day and it was absolutly packed! So for all you who missed it or want to relive some of the cotumes here are some of my favourites!

Audrey Hepburn's LBD by Givenchy from Breakfast at Tiffany's was deffinatly the highlight for me as Audrey Hepburn is such a big inspiration to me and Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my favourite films!

Marilyn Monroe's dress designed by costume designerWilliam Travilla for the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch. This was deffiatly a highlight and was amazing seeing the actual dress!

Beyonce Knowles dress from Dream Girls!

Kate Winslet and Leonardo Di Caprio's costumes from Titanic

Johnny Depp's costume in Pirates of the Carribbean as Captain Jack Sparrow (who is indoubtably my favourite pirate!!)

Judy Garland as Dorothy. This was also an amazing cotume to see as The Wizard of Oz was one of my favourite films when I was little although I was absolutly terrofied of the witch!
